Lenten Season, 2021
Dear Families and Future Families,
I always marvel at the speed with which a school year goes by. As we entered school in September, our school took on a task that many felt could not be accomplished. Every day in person school for every student certainly seemed to have too many obstacles to overcome. Yet, here we are, more than half way through the school year, moving forward in educating young people in the spirit of the faith that assures us that with God, anything is possible.
I have to take time to thank the teachers, maintainance, aides, and support staff that have adjusted to so many new ways of working and getting the job done for the children here at Most Precious Blood School. The families here have done their very important part as well, making tough lifestyle decisions in order to keep themselves and our entire school family at a lower health risk.
Our Parent Guild remains a vital part in keeping funding coming into the school, despite having to move away from some of the big events that we all look forward to each year.
Through all that we are living with, our students continue to show academic growth, as seen in our MAP testing from January and simply in the way they are carrying themselves. They are proving to us, that this challenging time is not to big for them to handle!
To both existing and new families, I want to remind you that registration for the 2021-2022 school year is open, and, though, we can't be sure yet, we hope that many more students can be accepted as society moves back toward what we are used to. Please feel free to contact us about availability and you can always start the registration process by visiting www.catholicschoolsny.org.
Stay healthy and well!
God Bless you all,
Mr. Hallaway
